The day is finally here where we get to share the photos from Sara + Kevin's Acadia National Park elopement! As many of you probably already know, Sara and Kevin originally planned on having their wedding weekend in September of 2020 at Camp Dark Waters in Medford, NJ. However the pandemic had other plans for them and they decided to postpone their big celebration to 2021.

Deep down, Sara had always wanted to elope anyway, so it was just natural for her and Kevin to elope out in nature! One of their goals is to visit all of the national parks together, so they decided to kick off that journey with their elopement in Acadia National Park, the one and only northeast NP!

We started out the day in our Mount Desert Airbnb, where Bri did Sara's hair before our mom, JoAnn, helped Sara into her boho-inspired Grace Loves Lace wedding dress. Sara's associate photographer and friend, Casey, arrived at the house and captured heirloom detail shots, as well as a few getting ready shots of Sara and Kevin separately, PLUS Reese's cute 'Pup of Honor' flower collar!

After Casey and Kevin went ahead of the group to Acadia, Sara met them at Schooner Head for their first look, followed by some cave portraits at low tide. Once Sara and Kevin finished their first round of portraits, they headed to the top of Cadillac Mountain for their intimate ceremony surrounded by close friends and family at Blue Hill Overlook.

After the ceremony, our family headed to Sweet Pea's Café to set up the celebratory dinner while Sara and Kev took a few more portraits on top of Cadillac Mountain. Once Sara and Kevin arrived at Sweet Pea's we kicked off the evening with lawn games, a BBQ dinner, cake, sparklers, and a bonfire!

The next day, Sara and Kevin headed back into Acadia for a post-wedding sunrise session exploring the coastline on Otter Cliffs before heading to back the Airbnb to depart for the road trip back home to PA. Along the way they stopped in Portland, Kennebunk, Salem and at a few lighthouses. Sara and Kev are so looking forward to their vow renewal wedding this September, but they couldn't be more smitten with their elopement-style nuptials! It felt so much more natural and exciting for them to explore a new place and get such intimate quality time with each other and our immediate family. We also loved that it was not a fleeting moment, as we got to celebrate for the whole weekend vs one day.
