NY Catskills Adventure Elopement at Full Moon Resort in Big Indian, New York

We had such a freakin' blast teaming up with Spell Society for Liana and Rowan's NY Catskills Adventure Elopement at Full Moon Resort! Sara started out the day by photographing their vintage-style wedding stationary on some sweet styling mats and let us tell you...we are OBSESSED with this mustard and rust color scheme!

Next Sara headed outside with Liana and Rowan to their ceremony setup, where they had the most STUNNING 8 foot floral arrangement in the shape of a moon cascading up the trunk of a tree at the edge of the meadow! Celestial themes + nature = the greatest combo EVER. This backdrop was just far too incredible to not take advantage of so following Liana and Rowan's first look, we made sure to capture some cool individual portraits of each of them before jumping into couples portraits and their ceremony! It was super misty and cloudy that afternoon, giving their photos an effortlessly moody feel that we are freakin' HERE FOR.

After their ceremony, we made our way into the woods and found a rocky stream. Liana and Rowan were all for getting up on the rocks, despite being surrounded by rushing water, to find the perfect spot for more portraits surrounded by the misty forest. Once the sun was starting to set, we headed back out to the meadow that runs along a big creek and captured their sunset portraits with the mountains in the background! One thing we loved was that a pair of deer were just chilling nearby and made a little appearance in some of their photos too!

Fun Fact: After their session ended, Rowan, who is a doctor, informed Sara that she had been standing in a bunch of poison ivy and asked if she was allergic to it. Sara was honestly not sure if she was so they just waited to see of she had a reaction to it. Thankfully, Sara did not get a rash, so she's apparently immune to poison ivy. We'd say that's a win!
