Bri + Zach's Lake House

In case ya haven't realized it yet, the chick in these photos is little old me, Bri! If you don't know me, I am Sara's younger sister, second shooter, blogger, and assistant! Man, I've got a lot of jobs... ANYWAY, back in June I asked Sara to do a mini love session for my boyfriend and I at his family lake house on Lake Wallenpaupack in Hawley, PA. We really epitomized the "mini" in this session, as it was a VERY hot day out on the dock and neither Zach or I are super comfortable in front of the camera (figures, right?), so it was truly incredible that Sara was able to give us such epic photos in the very little time we gave her.

Zach and I met the old fashioned way...nah just kidding, we met on Bumble! Zach moved from Pennsylvania to New Jersey for his engineering job and we started talking on the app about six months later. For our first date we went to the rock climbing gym I grew up going to and at the beginning of the date, I actually thought he had stood me up! So me being me, I'm notoriously early to EVERYTHING, and I got to the gym fifteen minutes early. Zach had texted me that he was on his way so I just waited until eventually I got a text from him saying he was walking in. I looked over at the entrance of the climbing gym and I remember seeing some guy walk in, but he didn't look like who I was expecting so I assumed it wasn't him. About ten minutes go by and no one else has walked in and the first guy I saw was no where to be seen. I remember instantly thinking, "Oh man, what if that was him and he stood me up!"

Finally I saw him walk into the gym area and I could tell he was looking for someone, so I flagged him down and gave him a look like, "Are you looking for me?", and it was him! Turns out the gym made Zach fill out a liability waiver before he was allowed into the climbing area. That still didn't explain why I couldn't recognize him from his pictures on Bumble though, as the man I met in person looked much more mature and honestly, he looked like Thor! I remember asking him a month or so later why he didn't look at all like his pictures and his response was, "I don't take many pictures," so all of his photos were at least 2 years old!

So there ya have it, that's how we met! I feel incredibly lucky to have such an amazing man in my life. We celebrated our 1 year anniversary this past July and both cannot wait for our many more adventures together to come!
