Autumn Beach Adventure Engagement in Sandy Hook and Atlantic Highlands, NJ

Sara loved getting to bring you back to the same place where you two first got engaged for your adventure engagement session! Though it might seem a little non-traditional, autumn was such an awesome time to capture your beachy engagement photos. The beaches at Sandy Hook, NJ were so cool (figuratively and literally) and dreamy looking! Not to mention you guys looked so cozy sitting on the jetty rocks along the water!

One of the coolest things about Sandy Hook is that it's actually a beach park! We LOVE shooting at beach parks because they offer so many more un-touched and off-the-beaten-path landscapes and backdrops whereas traditional beaches are much more limiting. Another beautiful beach park that is great to have a session in is definitely Island Beach State Park! By having your engagement session at Sandy Hook Beach State Park, you two were able to explore the area more naturally and turn your session into more than just a photo shoot, but also an adventure together!

Since Nicolas' first few tries at a proposal were planned to be up on Mount Tammany, we thought it'd be so fun to take some of your engagement photos up in the mountains of Atlantic Highlands, NJ too! Your adventure session was the sweetest combination of beach meets mountain and we are freakin' here for it!
